BCR Software Online

Interested in getting the new Windows 7 when it hits shelves on October 22nd but curious as to how BCR Software will run on the new OS?  Well the results are in from the testing department.  BCR Software runs just as smoothly on Windows 7 as it has on all versions of Windows since Windows 98 when preemptive multitasking was introduced.

If you intend on running BCR Software on Windows 7 in the near future we would love to talk with you.  The BCR Software install is an easy process on Windows 7 that should take no longer than 15 minutes.

An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader has been added to the launchpad of BCR Software.  This will allow the BCR Software user base of new releases, events, specials, and promotions.  

Essentially the right side of the Launchpad will function similar to a web page that can take users to various links on our blog pages.This feature will be available starting with the Quebec 1.2 release which will be available this week.  Keep up to date with what’s going on with BCR Software.

DocScan is a fully-integrated document scanning function designed to allow BCR Software users to save digital images of customer payments in our exclusive Accounts Receivable module, as well as retrieve and re-print said payments at any given time. Due to heavy customer demand, BCR Software has released BCR Backup.   BCR Backup supports daily backup of the company data folder to a ftp location of the customer’s choosing.  BCR Backup runs as a service on the server.  Once configured, at the designated time BCR Backup will compress the contents of the data directory to  a ZIP file and transfer the file to the defined ftp site.  Functionality is also included to recover the backup if needed.  BCR Backup will provide email notification as to the success or failure of each backupAs a premium product, there is an addtional charge for BCR Backup.  Please call 865-694-2007 for pricing.www.bcrsoftware.com

All BMA Users who are currently running WorldShip version 9.0 will be able to update directly to version 10.0 without problems.  The updates to WorldShip did not relate to any of the links between BMA and WorldShip like the conversion from 8.0 to 9.0 did.

BCR Barcelona was released on November 19, 2007. The Barcelona version contains many new features, including enhanced warehouse management capabilities, stabilization of the BCR Ecommerce function, and a general streamline of some of the already great BMA features. Our idea behind this release was to make subtle changes to BCR Software that would increase productivity by enhancing overall efficiency and ease of use.

The version of BCR Software to be released on 10/8/2007 has been named BCR Athens.
